I was just made aware that a couple of days ago one of my best friends was violently attacked after going on a blind date. Being the unbelievably tough, fast thinking girl she is - she grabbed a knife that was luckily near her and stabbed her attacker in the leg. After forcing him to the door with threats of the police and her weapon, he left. She reported him to the local authorities but he is yet to be apprehended.
Things like this always happen to strangers, but never to you or people you know. At least that's what we like to believe...
